Crawford will sign copies of her debut book, Being More Human, chat with people and answer questions at Book Face Port Macquarie from noon on Friday.
The author is also the guest speaker at the Hastings Education & Skills Forum meeting on Friday when she will talk about mindsets and how they apply to young adult education.
Being More Human, which pays homage to Crawford’s global exposure, encompassing humanitarian aid work in war-torn Kosovo and Africa, also captures her work in the corporate human resources and organisational development landscape, which saw her found a social enterprise in 2015.
The book takes readers through Crawford’s five-stage mindset model in response to trauma and other challenges.
Readers can expect true stories, set in Australia and internationally, which describe the challenges, reflection and movement of Crawford, her clients and her friends through a range of mindsets and the results those mindset shifts created for each of them.
“The value of being aware of your mindset is massive,” Crawford said.
“It connects to your success and wellbeing in every single part of your life.”
Crawford said it was empowering to see the possibility of being able to shift along the mindsets.
Being More Human offers readers a self-paced, learning experience.
The book tour takes in some of the more regional areas from Crawford’s childhood, including Taree, Port Macquarie and Cooranbong, as well as Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Darwin and Perth.
“Being More Human is the culmination of my life so far, and while there’s much left to learn for me, I’m thrilled to offer a book that provides ample opportunity, example and strategy for readers to shift their lives completely – to feel more fulfilled, happier, healthier and more successful,” she said.
The Hastings Education & Skills Forum meeting, which is open to the public, begins at 3pm on Friday at the Mid North Coast NSW Business Chamber, first floor, 148 Gordon Street.
Simply RSVP to the Mid North Coast NSW Business Chamber to attend.
